About the event
It’s a time of endings and beginnings as we close one year and begin a fresh new year. Many of us are thinking about new year’s resolutions which typically involves trying to get more, be more or have more, rather than ways to actually embrace the life we already have right here and now. We can learn ways to become more present by practicing mindful meditations.
The definition of mindfulness is this: Paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, to the present moment, non judgmentally. That's it! Be here now. Simple right? But simple isn't always easy.
While the surface of your mind can be choppy and agitated at times, like the surface of the ocean, you can learn to accept the mind's being that way and experience at the same time an underlying inner peace in a domain that is always right here, right now.
This class is for both beginners and experienced meditators. We'll practice a mindful meditation as well as mindful stretching and we'll end with a beautiful crystal bowl sound bath, so you'll be ready to start your week and the new year refreshed and renewed.
